This post should take you back down memory lane to the days of Bunsen burners, dissecting squid (and then cooking them on the Bunsen burners and eating them), building rockets and memorizing the PERIODIC TABLE. Shout out to Mr. Crawford and 7th grade science at Cascade Middle School!!
Search Engine Land just updated their infamous “SEO Periodic Table”. They added some new elements and adjusted some of the rankings given to each element.
The concept of the table is to provide a nostalgic and familiar visual to explain the fundamentals of SEO. These fundamentals involve the following on-page and off-page factors:
- Content – the quality of your material
- HTML – elements used to technically create your web pages
- Architecture – elements involved with your overall site
- Links – how links to your content may impact rankings
- Trust – the degree your site seems to be a trustworthy authority
- Social – how social recommendations impact your rankings
- Personal – various ways personalized search results impact your SEO
